That creative spark has always been part of me. From helping my family with home projects and building rabbit cages as a kid to diving into woodworking in Design Technology classes, I've always loved turning ideas into tangible things. It's incredibly satisfying to take raw materials and transform them into something beautiful and useful.

Life, however, often leads us down unexpected roads. During my university years, a difficult situation meant I needed to return home. What was meant to be a temporary step into the job world, with the expectation to eventually resume my design career, actually turned into nine years (and counting!) in manufacturing. While that role sometimes felt a world away from my creative aspirations, it honed crucial skills: problem-solving, people management, dependability, and confidence in getting things done. It was a necessary detour, but one that deeply underscored what I truly value – time, connection, and purposeful work.

Even as I continue in my management role, the pull back to creating never faded. I started spending evenings and weekends in the workshop, rediscovering the quiet joy of working with wood and other base materials. Debrus began as that joyful return – a 'side hustle' where I pour my genuine passion into every piece.

My vision for Debrus is clear: to craft home products of uncompromised quality and enduring beauty, infused with meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to environmental consciousness. These aren't just objects; they're creations designed to bring joy and become cherished additions to your space.

Ultimately, Debrus is more than just a business; it's about building a life aligned with my deepest purpose. It's about finding happiness in what I love doing, and eventually gaining the freedom to be truly present for the people I care about most.
