The products

Are the boards food safe? Yes. Every board is FSC-certified oak, finished with Rubio Monocoat, a hardwax oil that cures food-safe. Once it's cured it's ready to use straight away.
Will my piece look exactly like the one in the photos? Not exactly, and that's rather the point. Oak is a natural material, so the grain is different on every piece. Yours will be its own. The shape, dimensions and finish are consistent; the character of the wood is unique to you.
How do I look after it? A bit of hand-washing and the occasional re-oil is all it takes. Full details are on the Product Care page.
Are these actually handmade? Some pieces I make by hand myself. Others I design here and make with skilled craftspeople around the UK. Either way, every piece is designed here, made properly, and held to the same standard. More on that on the Our Story page.

How long until my order ships? Orders are usually dispatched within 2 to 5 working days. If a piece is made to order, I'll let you know the timing when you order.
Do you take custom orders or commissions? Yes, on some pieces. If you've got something specific in mind, drop me a message through the Contact page and I'll let you know if it's something I can do.
Something's wrong with my order. Get in touch through the Contact page and I'll put it right. If it arrived damaged, a photo helps me sort it quickly.

Where do you ship, and how much is it? I ship across the UK. Delivery is free on orders over £40, and a flat £5.99 below that, sent tracked. I ship internationally and prices vary on location.
How long does delivery take? Once dispatched, UK orders usually arrive within 2 to 3 working days on a tracked service.
What's your returns policy? If something isn't right, you can return it within 30 days for a refund, as long as it's unused and in its original condition. Just get in touch first through the Contact page. Made-to-order pieces are the exception, since they're made specially for you.

Where are you based? Guisborough, North Yorkshire. Everything is designed here, and either made here or made with trusted makers around the UK.
Is the timber sustainable? Wherever I can, I use FSC-certified timber, which means it comes from woodland that's looked after and replanted. The whole idea of Debrus is fewer things, made well and kept for years, rather than thrown away and replaced.
